Online Petitions

ETUC petition on public services
Unite is fully supporting the ETUC petition demanding high quality services accessible to all. Public services are essential for social, economic and regional cohesion in Europe and such services must be of high quality and accessible to everyone. Until now, the only options put forward for developing public services have been privatisation or liberalisation (namely in sectors such as energy, postal services and telecommunications). It is time to find different solutions! Sign the petition here.

Support the Justice for Colombia petition
Visit the 10 Downing Street website and add your support to the Justice for Colombia petition to suspend UK military aid to the Colombian armed forces until the country’s human rights record improves.  Colombia remains the most dangerous country in the world for trade unionists, with 84 activists having been murdered in 2006, and Unite supports the campaign to freeze military aid until the murders end. Sign the petition here.

NHS Together: Defending the NHS
Free health care is one of the things that makes our country great. We back change and reform that delivers better patient care. NHS Together brings together all the health unions (including those who are not affiliated to the TUC - the BMA, RCN and RCM) together with the TUC to defend the NHS and work for a better health service. NHS staff are proud of the National Health Service. This is why NHS Together is asking for your support in keeping the NHS on track. Find out more and sign the petition on the TUC NHS Together site.

Trident: Sign the CND petition
The future of the UK’s Trident nuclear weapons system is of great national and international importance and will have implications for decades to come. CND says No Trident Replacement - Yes to a Nuclear Weapons Convention. Sign the online petition here.
